The College of Physiotherapists of Ontario is the regulatory body created by government to make sure that physiotherapists/physical therapist are practicing safely and delivering quality care.

The College is required by law to:

  • Ensure that only qualified people can practice as a physiotherapist.
  • Make certain that physiotherapists continue learning throughout their career.
Ensure all physiotherapists follow the same rules, also known as standards.
  • Consider all complaints and concerns brought to the College’s attention by a member of the public.
