Position Statements

Position statements reflect the opinion or interpretation of the College's Council on a given topic. They provide the public and the profession with information on the Council's views on issues or matters in which the College does not have direct statutory responsibility or authority. Position statements reflect the College's stance on issues that are of particular relevance to the practice of physiotherapy.

Current position statements are included in the Registrants' Guide. New or revised position statements are sent to registrants to advise them of changes in the College's expectations.

Guides

Where standards are complex, or require additional interpretation or guidance to facilitate understanding of the College's performance expectations, a companion reference guide is included as a component of the Standards for Practice for Physiotherapists.

Information Bulletins

Information Bulletins are intended to provide registrants with information that is relevant to their practice. These bulletins are on a variety of topics such as updates to forthcoming new legislation and evolving interpretations of how current legislation or standards are understood.
