If your physiotherapy education was not in English or French
proof of language fluency is required.
You may provide evidence of fluency by completing any one
of the following language tests and meeting the following
scores. This information is provided by the Canadian Alliance
of Physiotherapy Regulators and is current as of May 2005.

1. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)

2. Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB):
score of at least 85, plus an oral score of at least 3
3. CanTEST: average score of at least 4,
with no component lower than 4 with a minimum oral interview
rating of at least 4.5
4. International English Language Testing Systems
(IELTS) score of at least 7
5. Test of English for International Communication
(TOEIC) total score of 800
Written evidence of successful completion of a French language
proficiency test administered by an agency recognized by the
Alliance.
