If your physiotherapy education was not in English or French, proof of language fluency is required. You may show proof of language fluency using a language test approved by the Alliance.

Are you a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or do you have a valid work permit?

Has the Alliance accepted your educational credentials as substantially equivalent to those of Canadian-educated physiotherapists?

  No

Your education credentials must be evaluated by the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators. Go to the Alliance website and download the Educational Credential Assessment for Physiotherapists Educated Outside of Canada to begin this process.

Have you registered for the Physiotherapy Competency Exam (PCE)?

Have you passed the written component of the PCE and registered for the next available clinical exam?


  Yes 


  No 


CONGRATULATIONS! If you answered YES to all the questions you are ready to apply for a Provisional Practice certificate from the College. Download and complete the following forms:

Provisional Practice Application Form (PDF 119 KB)
Monitoring Agreement (PDF 97 KB)

To register with the College for a Provisional Practice certificate you must pass the written component of the PCE and be registered for the next available clinical exam. Register for the clinical exam on the Alliance website.
