If you are new to practice in Ontario or registered AFTER October 1, 2016, you will be required to complete the Jurisprudence Module in the fall of 2017. You will receive an email from the College when the Module is available.

The Jurisprudence Module assesses a physiotherapist's understanding and application of practice standards, legislation and rules related to practice in Ontario.

Individuals have two tries to successfully complete it. The pass score is 72% or 36/50.

Physiotherapists are encouraged to discuss the questions with their peers and refer to Rules and Resources section. However, all physios must complete and submit their own Jurisprudence Module.

Some PTs may have completed the Module within the last 5 years if you are new to practice or re-registered after a break, however you are required to complete this 2016 Jurisprudence Module, along with the rest of Ontario physiotherapists as part of the 5-year cycle. The questions will be different.

PLEASE NOTE: You cannot download or print a hard copy of the Jurisprudence Module. This is an intentional security measure. You can however, look at the questions online and discuss with your peers.
