In Harm’s Way—Strategies to Support Patients Dealing with Mental Health Issues

Date: April 25, 2019 at Noon

What should you do when a patient discloses that they have been abused or is experiencing suicidal thoughts or is struggling with their mental health? It is a situation more and more physiotherapists find themselves in.

We know patients trust their physiotherapists and often share personal details about their lives. We also know that this kind of health care does not fall within a PT’s scope of practice, but you need to support your patients to get the help they need.

Join us for a webinar on Thursday, April 25 from noon until 1 pm and hear from a panel of experts—psychiatrist Dr. Mary Preisman and College Senior Physiotherapist Advisor, Fiona Campbell—who will provide practical strategies, share helpful support and answer your questions.

Send your questions anonymously ahead of time.
