How to Become a Physiotherapist in Ontario

Physiotherapists in Ontario must complete a Master's degree in Canada. For individuals educated outside of Canada, their education is reviewed by the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators to ensure that it is substantially equivalent to the content of a Canadian physiotherapy program.

To use the title Physiotherapist, Physical Therapist or PT, you must be registered with the College. Learn more about how to apply

Webinar: Canadian Healthcare System and Language Proficiency Requirements

Information regarding a free webinar hosted by the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators, which helps individuals become qualified to be registered as a physiotherapist in Ontario.
On Thursday, July 26 at 10:30 a.m. EST the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators will host a free webinar called: Everything You Need to Know About the Canadian Healthcare System and Language Proficiency Requirements. 

If you are interested in learning about the Knowledge of Physiotherapy Practice within the Canadian Healthcare System requirement and the language requirement, please consider attending the free webinar. The following topics will be covered:

  • Options on how you can meet these requirements
  • Common issues and misconceptions
