Jurisprudence Module

Module Now Open for New PTs

All newly registered PTs must complete the Jurisprudence Module within the first year of registering for an Independent Practice Certificate with the College.

For those PTs, who registered with the College September 27, 2018 and September 26, 2019 (or have not completed it for some other reason) you will be required to complete it between October 1, 2019 to December 16, 2019.

If you are a PT who must complete the Module this year, you will have received an email from the College on October 1, 2019.

Anyone required to do the Jurisprudence Module this year will have received an email from the College advising them of this and providing a secure link to the Jurisprudence Module.

The Jurisprudence Module is an online, 50-question multiple choice exercise that tests your understanding and application of practice standards, legislation and rules related to practice in Ontario.

The pass score is 72% or 36/50.

All Other Registered Physiotherapists

It is a requirement for all registered physiotherapists in Ontario to complete the Jurisprudence Module every five years. The next large scale Jurisprudence Module for all registered physiotherapists will take place in October 2021.
