Highlights from the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario’s Council Meeting on June 28 and 29, 2022

• Council approved the proposed initiatives for the 2022-2026 strategic plan and the proposed measures for year one.
  
  
• Council approved the 2022-2023 Committee Slate. 
  
  
• Council approved the 2021-2022 Audited Financial Statements ending March 31, 2022.
  
  
• Council approved a proposed increase of the Independent Practice Certificate registration fee to $635 and all other registration-related fees by 10.5% effective April 1, 2023. • Council was provided with an update regarding the development of the Ontario Clinical Exam (OCE).
  
  
• Council was provided with an overview of qualitative research conducted by Dr. Rebecca Goldfarb on behalf of the College to better understand the experiences of internationally educated/trained physiotherapists. Council was also provided with an update regarding the implementation of initiatives based on the results of the research. 
  
  
• College staff presented two additional information sessions to Council – one regarding the Practice Advisory Service scoping review and needs assessment, and one regarding financial education.
