Dates and Location
The Ontario Clinical Exam (OCE) will be held on the following dates in 2022 and early 2023 at Touchstone Institute in Toronto.
Candidates will need to attend the exam on site in Toronto in person — currently there is no option to complete the exam virtually.
Each day, except for the first administration, will include both morning and afternoon exam sessions.
- Monday, October 24, 2022 (30 candidates)
- Monday, November 21 and Tuesday, November 22, 2022 (up to 120 candidates over two days)
- Monday, January 16 and Tuesday, January 17, 2023 (up to 160 candidates over two days)
- Thursday, March 9 and Friday, March 10, 2023 (up to 180 candidates over two days)
The first four exams will be delivered in a hybrid format, with candidates on site in Toronto and examiners interacting with candidates remotely through a virtual exam delivery platform.
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates are encouraged to carefully review the eligibility requirements along with the Eligibility Policy to determine if they can register to attempt the Ontario Clinical Exam.
Candidates must have successfully completed the Physiotherapy Competency Exam (PCE) written exam to register for the OCE. Candidates who successfully complete the OCE can then apply for Independent Practice with the College.
Registration
The registration form will open on August 22 at noon and will stay open until at least August 29.
The registration form will only be available in the PT Portal. Candidates must have a PT Portal account to register for the OCE. Learn more about registration.
